C.U.R.
The C.U.R. (Clinical Development Utilizing Registries) project aims to show how quality registries can be used for healthcare performance measurement, development and clinical research – and thereby constitute a platform for future investments in Sweden.
The existence of national quality registers in Sweden provides a unique potential for Sweden to become an international leader in performance measurement and clinical research. Departing from this competitive advantage, the C.U.R. project has developed generic applications that can be used by any register and medical speciality in order to collaborate with academia and the life-science industry in new ways.
The Delegation for Clinical Research Collaboration initiated the C.U.R project in January 2009 under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry, Employment and Communications. C.U.R. will show the results with cases and demonstrations of the new applications in December 2009. Political and healthcare decision-makers, register boards, researchers, representatives from the life-science industry and other stakeholders who seek to promote swedish clinical performance and research can then aquire an understanding of how they can use the C.U.R. concept and its applications to reach their objectives.
